Ok so are people calling this bike the 10-9-8 (same as say the 916) or are you calling it the 10-98 (like say a Porsche 911).....????
Its a question that is bugging me! And I will need to know what to call her when she arrives in a week!

10 - 98 seems to be the one I've heard the most. And then it will be the 11 - 98 next year! Yum yum.

Nick, take yourself outside and administer yourself a beating.

It's the first time a model designation has reached 4 numerals, so we're running with the ten!

Geddit! :D

in Italy it's the, one thousand and ninety eight, but there again it does sound better as "mille e novantotto", remember a journalist saying that pretty much anything said in Italian sounds cooler.

to be fair i have been saying "dieci e novantotto" to my pa but their again i don't live in Italy.

i'm saying 10-98 but I called my 999 a triple nine.

I think this very important issue requires serious debate to make sure we get it right, or we could just all go and ride instead.............

oh and don't worry, when it comes you'll just be speechles so won't need to worry about what to call her/it. I just stood there smiling for a while when I got my keys, I think I might have dribbled a bit as it was warming up.

I agree I do!! Although when you foolishly sell your 749 weeks before the 1098 arrives you kinda go into strange 'I want to ride!!' depression... a symptom of this is to start useless links........ oh and buy stupid amounts of bike magazines to somehow replace riding with reading!! Sorry!
