748 Fairings, pre and post '01

Hi,

Just a quick ques, would upper and lower fairing panels for a pre '01 748 fit my 2002 bike? I've seen some cheap panels and thinking of getting them as spares if they're the same fittings

That's if i ever get my bl?ody bike back again anyway...!

If it's a 2002 748 then the "older" panels will go right on. If it's for a 998 then they won't fit (coils get in the way).

Hmm,the '02 748 should have the fairing panels 998 style,ie no air ducts.The older style panels will not fit these models for the above reason,I think.

To the best of my knowledge, it's only the 998 that has the repostitioned coils. The MY02 748 is more or less identical to the MY01, just has "998" style bodywork.

I fitted the older style panels to my 2002 748 without any problems. I think you'll be fine.
