So after 5 years off a bike, I'm tempted to get back on.... not sure why - mid-life crisis maybe, fed up of getting stuck in the car getting out of London..
Had a good old look around and 848 prices seem pretty sensible these days. They look excellent value in comparison to the Panigale's...??

848 -> 848 Evo -> 899 Panigale -> 959 Panigale

Depending on what you're looking at it could be 4 models old!
Not sure I've ever seen a yellow 848 though... ;)

5 YEARS! Where did THAT go....

Not sure if the Demo fleet are still doing the dealerships around the UK, why not REALLY treat yourself :rolleyes:

Point taken about 4 models old.... but in real terms, they're still a modern bike and light years ahead of my old 996?

yellow - could always have one sprayed up.... ;) wash my mouth out but it would have to be red.... shhhh... didn't say that..

Might look at Hypermotard's as well - maybe the baby ones?

5 years... yeah, long time peddling up hills :o

Funds won't run to / justify a new one - can't believe how expensive bikes have got while I've been away.. particularly as it won't get a huge amount of use...

I rode the old 796, having owned the 1100S for 8 years now, and was very underwhelmed. Yes it looks like a Hypermotard but it didn't have the instant-on grunt of the 1100. It felt broken!

You should try both before deciding. I know which one you'd pick! ;)
