Not been on here for awhile as I haven't been riding due to divorce and personal circumstances.
2nd journey out today and I've put the 1098 down the road.
I need lots of parts but to get her running I need a clutch hub as the cover has bent in and snapped off a stud. Is this part available without buying a complete new clutch?
Thanks

hi colin, sorry to here about your off. hope you are ok. I have a workshop manual and parts list on my computer. they show the cultch hub as a separate part , that is assuming you have a standard clutch and not a slipper clutch witch may not be the same. I brought a hub for my 916 some years ogo after I droped it ,and I think I payed about £50.hope all goes well. pete

Thanks Pete.
I'm OK thanks, the Alpinstars I bought at the show did the job.
It could have been a lot worse. If anyone has a RHS handle bar it would be good.

Having struggled to undo the center nut and remove the clutch hub can someone tell me please how to remove the center of the hub from the alloy part with the 6 threaded posts on?
Thanks

If you still need a hub I may have one going spare and you're welcome to borrow my clutch tool as well!

Thanks Antony. I have a hub and now have the old one off and apart. I have had a holding tool made at work but thanks anyway.
I have most parts now. Just need a rear brake lever.

I've now got the bike back together but there is something I don't understand.
Now I can't operate the steering lock (turning left) as it hits the adjustable stop. I'm 99% sure that it worked before my off.
The bike went down on the RHS and broke the RHS bar which I have replaced. I just replaced the bar leaving the existing clamp in place.
I am worried that I have bent something but I can't see what.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry to hear of your off Col, hope you have recovered?
I'm pretty sure the steering lock is just a pin that moves into a hole around the steering head, hopefully, just have a look for a displaced cable around the steering tube that is stopping the pin from latching.
good luck

Not sure if you've got a bent steering stop - common when dropped and easy to do - as this may stop the steering from locating correctly. Worth checking to see if it all lines up correctly.
