I was talking to Nelly at the AGM yesterday about sourcing a good red clutch pressure plate and some stainless springs for my 999R.

Neil.............you have a U2U re: above.

Is it straightforward to replace the plate & the springs.

Reminder & advice please :D:D

You have a U2U Everton.

Fitting is pretty simple and doesn't take long. You'll be fine ;)

I'll let you know tomorrow about the springs etc.

Andy,

That's highly tempting.......I locked the back wheel momentarily three or four times on Saturday under heavy braking/downshifting with all those fecking roundabouts around Milton Keynes.

Having never used E-Bay...........got any pointers? Any idea of cost?

A few of the guys have used Ducati- shak? I think thats his name, a guy in Germany. Theres also a place near heathrow thats forever advertising slippers.
Obviously there are several types of slipper, quality etc, and you do get what you pay for.
They may even be just the same price at a dealer with negotiation?
There are a variety of combinations you can do with any of the dry clutch models, even utilising some of your original parts. I was contemplation having the alloy basket and plates from an st( less noise) with the slipper hub and a red corse pressure plate with the alloy or titanium caps, screws etc ....decisions?
