900 SS missfire

Hi,

so, latest issue - bit annoyed at my '95 900 SS now misfiring beyond 4000rpm.
She revs cleanly when at a standstill but a bag of nails when riding - in any gear.

Any ideas.....?

Possibly one of the ignition igniters is nolonger advancing

Also check the spade connections on the bottom of the coils, they can work loose over time

The carb needles also wear a step in them that can cause poor running but noy usually a misfire

Many thanks for your advice. Turns out the dynojet kit needs a fettle - all sorted now :)
