Can anybody supply, or know where abouts on the web there is a "reliable" list of 'official factory' bhp for the various 916/996/998 models (i.e. BP, S, R, Sp, SPS, Senna etc). Thanks.

Not sure about on the web but the Haynes Book titled Ducati 916 and written by Ian Fallon has most of the figures

916BP----109bhp
916SP-----131bhp
916 Racing--155bhp
996-------112bhp
996S -----112bhp
996R------135bhp
998BP-----123bhp
996SPS---123bhp

You forgot the 998R that has 139bhp.

I think the factory figure for the 996S is 123bhp as it has the same engine as the 996SPS.

Book doesn't mention the 998R or any of the 998's and could well be wrong about the 996S 1999-2000 model and doesn't give the power of the 2001 996S although it quotes all the other values, still loads of websites out there with info on Ducatis

And then there was a 916RS, which isn't in any book. Output is somewhat above the 916 Racing...:D:D
