Just dipping my toe in the water here.

I have spotted a Pantah up for grabs not far from me amongst a whole heap of other bikes. Its very tatty. Not sure if it is a runner, nor engine size. However, it looks virtually complete and might be worth considering as a winter 2004 project (or is that winter 2004 and winter 2005, etc.).

I quite fancy having a go at this, but need some advice on current purchase price range for a bike in this condition and availability of spares, either pattern or OEM.

Any comments/info. appreciated.

Ta, Chris.

spares - nightmare mate. service items are fine like belts and filters as there common with the newer bikes, but if you need barrels and pistons (their plated) its a different plate of penni. engine needs lots of special tools and is the normal swine of a duke to strip (tho better than a beval). Engines are tough and long lived.

price.

tatty non runner, missing parts, been standing - 250

tatty non runner al lthere needs some work - 700

decent bike non stands high miles but goes ok 1500

orignal low miles clean and sounds 2000

as orignal collectors item 2400+

Sorry i dont get to come here as often as id like my mail is kevin.nospam.foote@notlwrold.com. Loose the nospam.
