Hi,

Now no laughing but its true, I need help fitting my recently acquired C\F Airtubes ...

I have today tried to fit said artubes but after mounting the indicators and then offering them up to the bike the airtubes are missing the small lugs on the inside that the spring clips in the airbox clip onto ...

A. Is this usual ...??

B. How do I resolve this issue as i'm now getting really faffed off with my bike being in bits .......??

:(

Dibble the only ones I have come across either have bits of carbon moulded in place so that the clips hook onto them or they have a large carbon fibre tag to the rear of the airbox end that hooks inside the airbox and relies on the fairing/headlight fixing to hold them in place.

Angle grinder?

Oh no, wait...

You might need to get creative with a rivet-gun and some bits of metal - that's what I had to do to put the fastening clips onto my CF airbox!

Ok, I think its time to "name & shame" !

Who supplies decent carbon airtubes with all the fixings and who is it that supplies just the tubes but with no way of fixing them other than with resort to drill, zip-ties and having to raid the original units ?

My tubes were £215 at Ally Pally show they look great, make the bike sound awesome but do not have any purchase on them for the clips. I have left the clips in Situ and have found that the airtubes fit sng with the airbox when the fairing is is place and the rubber sealing washer is on.
