Saw one in Snells on Tuesday and I must admit, although not a fan of the 999 shape, it looks stunning. I think it's the bigger tank that does it, or all the carbon.
Nice one and welcome.
Nice one and welcome. I originally ordered one of those having had one of the first 749S. Ultimately cancelled the order and bought a 996R instead, difficult decision but I'm happy.

Hey Bill , congratulations on the new bike , why not take a ride up to Aberdeen to run it in
Lovely looking bit of kit...... All apart from the bodgey welding on the new tank.:P
well done mate... pray for sun, pray for sun, pray for sun....
The dealer has asked if he can use it for the display model at the Scottish bike show. I agreed as long as it is sitting on a stand 10ft in the air and surrounded by armed guards.
Thanks for all the welcome notes and as soon as I take delivery expect a host of photos !!

welcome nice bike when ar you goin to jerez. im going with 100% at the start of april.cheers niggs :lol::lol:
I'm going at the beginning of May for 3 days with a group of 15 Ducs from Glasgow. The bikes are being flown directly to Jerez from the Duc dealership so all we have to do is ride them when we get there.
Where is the best place to buy track bodywork from as I don't want to explode the carbon all over the track on it's first outing ?
Cheers

Hi 749R
I'm going to Jerez with Ducati Glasgow as well! I've been looking for race kit for my bke, PRF do a nice kit (£350 unpainted), unfortunately it's full race, I just want replacement road/track kit (with side stand holes), haven't managed to track it down yet.

Hi DMC,
Have you asked Graham the Ohlins man who works out of Ducati Glasgow about race bodywork ? He is looking for some names so that he can buy in bulk and get us a deal.
Worth a shot !!
See you in Jerez :biaggi:

Hi 749r
believe it or not it's graeme and I that are looking to source the bodywork!
I saw your bike today, looking very nice, the way the carbon bodywork has the air covers attached is a cool touch.
