Lets see how this works out.

Faxing all the names on that list, using the 4 pages.

Also using the On line Ducati quote system - also mentioned in these pages.

39 year old male, no convictions, no points, 2 years no claims, 748 Bip, living in Watford, with a Carol Nash renewal quote of £350 for Fully Comp (£4.5k).

Here goes!

Will post the results up in the week.

The fax was busy over the w/end and now it's Thursday, I have had approx 8 replies.
The best quotes are coming in at the £275 level + £25 for legal cover for fully comp with a £500 excess, no pillion and no other bikes.

Bennets are one of 2 thus far that seem to be offering the best deal.
My existing policy has a few days to run, so if there is any serious change in sea-state, I shall post more info.

You have to do this at least 1 week before you need the cover.

At the 23rd hour I got:

Fully Comp.
Legal.
Breakdown.
European cover.
Excess of £450
Ride other bikes - 3rd party (not f+t)
Guaranteed No Claims protection.

This is for £325
Only a smidgen over the £300 I was looking at for far less with other companies.

Well pleased.

In addition, I emailed them 3 pictures of the ground anchor, before and after it was concreted into place.

No problems.

They wanted it at the rear wheel as the front can be removed.

Followed up with 2x images of the dreadful access I have to get the bike onto the hard standing, backed up with some explanations and as is well. They were more than happy with the arrangement.

Point: If you don't ask, back it up with some pictures on email and a few words and it makes more sense to the underwriters and helps them see the full picture.

Got a good result all 'round.
