EK Chains

Anyone used EK chains on their bike? I need to change my chain from a 525 to 520 and EK seem to be at a good price. The ones I have been quoted are the 520MVXZ and 520MVX I don`t know the diference maybe one is gold the other isn`t?

Is that a good idea..changing to a 520 on a 916...I know racers do it...but on a road bike...i think this has been discussed a few times, may be worth doing a search if you havn't already???

Can't comment on the EK Chain, but mines a Tsubaki type in gold, heavy duty X ring...and compared to other makes looks like it could tow the titanic! And very reasonably priced from either Mike Davies or Nelly...take your pick. Recommended:roll:

I agree with Harv - I replaced my OEM chain with a Gold X-Ring Tsubaki and this thing would look good round the neck of BA Baracus (http://www.ateamshrine.co.uk/ba.php)!

I got mine from B&C Express (http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/) - cost about 70 quid for a 520x96 (as I went to 40t rear at the same time)
