View Full Version : Help, AOL9 and my PC and reading threads

Folks see below an error message I am getting regularly when on the board
Its only started happening after AOL 9 was loaded (by AOL CD) onto my machine...it happens when trying to view threads, not every time but about 1 out of 3 "thread reads", any ideas
a very sober, concerned and confused mort
Database connection error!!!
A connection to the Database could not be established.
Please check your username, password, database name and host.
Also make sure config.php is rightly configured!
When connecting, the database returned:

......I've just started getting this error and others have posted similar probs today.
The webteam are aware and are on the case....

Its nothing to do with you or your connection paulmort. Its all at the server end. The message boards connect to an sql database, thats where all the forum information is stored. When it throws up the "database connection error" it just means it could not connect to the database. As has been stated in a few threads the webteam are on the case trying to sort out the problem, bless their little cotton socks.
/me reminds himself never to host anything with webfusion :sing:

Glad to know it's not AOL 9.0.... Cause that what I was blaming it on ( had nothing but trouble with bloomin AOL.... as soon as my contract is up... I'm off )
just typed a post out for rideouts / meets.... hit the post reply button... and got the ' connection error' message, and guess what????? No post !!!!! Bummer !!:(
