Ebay / Paypal question

I have some funds in my Paypal account from a refund. I have just bought somethign from Ebay & when I clicked on "pay now" I opted for paypal. However, its asking for the amount due from my credit card, without using whats already in the PayPal account. How do I use this amount to put towards the purchase? I've looked but cant see how its done. Its the 2nd time I've used PayPal, so I'm no expert

I have done that before and it has always deducted what was in the account first.

Has it actually taken the amount on the credit card? Has the paypal account shown the purchase?

I havent done it yet. I need to use that money thats in there as I dont use PayPal so I want it out.

Whenever I have had funds it has taken from there first and then any balance from the credit card. It should work!
