.... when clicking on posts

Database connection error!!!

A connection to the Database could not be established.
Please check your username, password, database name and host.
Also make sure config.php is rightly configured!

When connecting, the database returned:
Error :

Only does it the one time then its OK

same here,

got the message at home and at college.

its a pain,site is slow enough and then this comes up:mad:

quick tip while we wait for the issues to be fixed...

before you hit the POST REPLY button after spending ages on your literary masterpice, just do a quick CTRL-C and copy your text. Then if theres one of these database errors you can quickly post again by pasting your text back in... :D:D

saves lots of wailing and gnashing as you realise your post has been lost :mad::mad:

I did that after the first time, when it happened several times more, i'm glad i did.

As Weeksy, this is due to be sorted guys.

Youll never believe it just started to post a reply and lost the bloody connection just when previewing post aaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;);) Bet it does it again.

If you get the database error when posting just hit the back button and you'll go back a page with your typed post still there. Just hit "post reply" again.

not for me- when I hit the back button, the whole thing disappears

Oh, must be the crappy Winoze IE. I'm using Mac IE and my message stays :D

I found that if you hit the 'refresh' button on your browser toolbar then the page seems to work okay.

I've also had this when sending U2U's. If you get it, just "right click" on the white box with the error message in it and choose 'refresh' from the list of options.
