World Superbike | 2025 | R9 | Magny-Cours (France) | Sunday 7 September 2025
Second place for Bulega in the Superpole Race and Race 2 at Magny-Cours. Great race by Bautista (P4) who makes up 10 positions and comes close to the podium.
The Sunday of the French Round of WorldSBK ended with Nicoḷ Bulega in second place and Alvaro Bautista in fourth.
Bulega got off to a good start and, in the first three laps, seemed capable of keeping up with Razgatlioglu (BMW). However, as in Race 1, the Turkish rider's pace left no room for battle. Bulega did well not to make any mistakes, bringing home valuable points for the standings.
Bautista was determined to make up positions on the grid and got off to a good start in the Superpole Race. After a few overtakes, however, he was betrayed by Rea's sudden braking and crashed, forcing him to line up once again in 14th position. In Race 2, he staged a remarkable comeback: his race pace was incisive and allowed him to make up position after position. With six laps to go, he took fourth place and tried to attack Lowes (Bimota) for the podium, but the gap was now unbridgeable.
Nicoḷ Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #11)
"It was a weekend in which we took the maximum points that were within our reach. We will work to take the step that will allow us to return to being competitive as we were in the first part of the season. Even though we haven't won in four weekends, no one intends to give up an inch, and we will go to Aragon more determined than ever."
Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati #19)
"It was a difficult round in which we had a lot of bad luck. In both Race 1 and the Superpole Race, I had to deal with two crashes that prevented me from staying on track and fighting for points. Fortunately, nothing happened in Race 2, and I even enjoyed myself in many battles, but they cost me precious time that I needed to get closer to the podium. We are going to Aragon with the desire to get back to achieving important results."
