A Saturday that Nicoḷ Bulega will remember for a long time. The Italian rider from the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team secured his first Superbike victory at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, putting in an extraordinary performance after overtaking his team-mate on the first lap, who had made a fine start from second on the grid.
Iker Lecuona lacked the pace to challenge Bulega but took second place to round off the Ducati celebrations.
Nicoḷ Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #11)
“It was thrilling. I really wanted to secure my first win here at Misano. We celebrated with my family and friends after the race; it was a lovely surprise. I'm very happy to have given this wonderful feeling to the many fans who came to support me. I'll try again tomorrow.”
Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #7)
“I tried to push, but I have to admit that Nicoḷ's race pace today was truly unbeatable. Honestly, I'm not satisfied with finishing second this time. I hope to be able to take it up a notch tomorrow.”
