Fuel tank removal

Giving the girl a good going over with the cleaning stuff and would like to take the tank off. Got the seat removed but a bit concerned about pulling the fuel pipes off, will it just pour out or will i just get a pipes worth?

Whilst I'm in there I need to take a few pictures of some corrosion on the engine cases, if there's one gripe I have about Ducati ownership is the fact that unless you have it garaged all the time and use it in wet or damp conditions then it will rust like a bag of nails in a bucket of salty water....comments, workarounds or any other suggestions would be a great help.

Same as a 99* mate the fuel stays in the tank.

Just remove the bolt and bracket, 8 or 10mm socket i think, and then pull the fuel lines out.
Obviously disconnect the electrics, and a tricky little clip on the overflow pipe to the front of the tank near the ign key.

I had a look at Marco's '04 749 today.The fuel pipes have the quick release fastenings like the 748/9** range.On my '02 bike the pipes go straight into the pump/filter plate and use ordinary hose clips.
