Vented Clutch Cover

I like the look of the vented clutch covers and understand the benifit of the dust being able to escape but what about the water/muck geting in ? is this a problem any one got any views on this...

loads of threads on this if you do a search but just be careful when cleaning bike with water otherwise no problems.
