Having a girlie in the office who is currently going through driving test trauma certainly sharpens up your knowledge.
But.......Breaking down in a tunnel question: You have the option of
a-waiting with your vehicle till police arrive
b-standing in front of bike
c-standing behind bike
d-switching on hazards and going to call for help.

whatdaya think?

correct answer was "d"
but I ain't got hazards
and all the tunnells round here have cameras in them manned 24/7
and most of the tunnells I've worked in have emergency pedestrian safety recesses......with phones

And another thing...
how do you recognise fuel on the road
a- rainbow effect
b- pitted surface
c-blahblahblah
d-shiney surface

Answers "a". Is that true in full sunshine? In the rain for damn sure I know its rainbow (having tumbled on it many years ago). When diesel spillage on M62/M60 junction last year there was no rainbow, but plenty of pitted road surface where the tarmac was literally melting.

Are the answers subjective to examiner interpretation or is it supposed to be black and white?

Couple of the answers seem wrong though....

I don't see how a white helmet would make you more visible in daylight, black stands out much more against a light background:rolleye:

Seems silly to lose a mark for saying min legal tread is 1.6mm not 1mm - which is safer :rolleye: (again)

I won't even go into the one about the slow scooter on a narrow windy road

yeah - some are naff but for a new rider I think the answers are basically sound (but I do agree about the Black helmet DJT) and yes I did get the skip wrong....

But did get the tunnel right, I wouldnt rely on being picked up by a camera so leaving the bike seems the right thing to do instead of being gassed to death - hazards on it fitted, yeah right (might b a good idea actually)

Well done guys and girls
