Tough luck Brenda (my missus).
Took her test first thing this morning and failed on one point, which appears to be the most common, putting her foot down during a U turn. Apart from that 5 trivial minors. The examiner set she had excellent road sense and her control was generally spot on apart from the U turn which he sensed (correctly) was down to nerves.
Even apologised for failing her but said he has to stick within the guidlines laid down by HMG & foot down in U turn is an automatic 'serious' & therefore fail!!
What's that malarky all about then?? In my day we went round the block twice trying not to fall off in the emergency stop :lol::lol:
Is it just to test slow control?
I reckon I've done less than half a dozen U turns in 27 years of motorcycling. The last one I did was when Karl & I got lost looking for Ducati Central London and did a U turn in the Kings Road...........which granted is a very wide road :rolleye::rolleye:
Fair play to her.............she's booked for the next/first available in Reading, Swindon, Oxford or Basingstoke.............whichever comes first.
I can phone the TV Police now & say the roads are safe for a while longer (ouch.....she just whacked me :lol: )
So come on...........why's the U turn there in the test??
And who makes regular (necessary) U turns?
Answers please.............there must be a reason..........just interested :puzzled::puzzled:
