I ordered some from them at the beginning of December and still no sign. They haven't responded to my email asking where they are either.

Your ACU card has a small hole to thread a lace through and use as your dog tag. It is designed to be used like this and has all required info on it.

There's a clue in the title - Dog tag - got mine at local pet shop. Says 'please return Fido to his owner'

Did my first race with one of those plastic key ring fobs that you can write in the little bit of paper, tied around my neck with some string from my tool box.

Only needs name and D.O.B. but seen some put their blood group on it.

:o .... string not allowed for safety reasons.

thought string was ok...it was lockwire that wasnt!!

ok, it was actually a bit of that shiny thin stuff that you tie presents up with. I've seen some pretty heavy duty chains if string is not allowed, but hey, if they quibble over a bit of string, my bike would never pass!!!!!!!!!

Thx for the reply guys. Hmmm that bling one at $999 is a bit of a Hampshire thing, not for us Royal Berkshire folks..

Yea I still got my Army Tags but if I get found on the track I'm going get returned to Unit. All those years ago I left the gates and told them I was just poping out to the bank.

Intresting about using my ACU card.. makes sense. Anyone done this ??

Pets R Us is it then...

have been known to drill a hole in a 2p coin, wrap it in gaffa, write my details on it then pop a shoe lace onto it... ya know, for thos times when ya somehow forget the dogtags...

How do,

Name n date o birth is all thats required. I got some cheapies from e-bay they were about £3! but the engraving is barely visible so i had to engrave the reverse myself. I wasn't too bothered about their appearance, no ones gonna see em other than at scrotumearing (;o) and if someone does have cause to look at em, I'll probably be on my arse somewhere worried about what state mi bike is in.
I would say, so long as there are no sharp edges (ACU specify "ROUND" but they do have common sense) and the chain would break under stress instead of taking yer head off if it got caught, and the writing is clearly legible, then fine.

or like other member said, the pet shop.

Meet the basic requirement, money on blinging something up, is better spent on summat more useful i'd say.

Good luck mate.

roadid.com I can highly recommend. They only charge about 1 dollar for P and P, and top quality product.

I have got some sterling silver ones (about £60 there are 2 of them) and also a stainless steel one (about £25) in stock both with chains fitted if needed. Not heavy chains either. I can also get them engraved with your details.

Pm if you are intersted.

ACU says you should use both dog tags and licence around your neck.

Got mine from a key cutting booth, from a cabinet for dog/ cat tag's. From what I've seen every key cutter seems to have them. cost me about 5 quid with the engraving included, all done in about 10 mins. Cheap as chips;)
