It is often said that the Americans and the Brits are two peoples divided by a common language. Frequently, also, the same holds true for the Aussies and other English-speaking peoples...so, what does an Antipodean mean by, "Budgie smuggler and thongs"? (And yes, thongs in the plural is correct) .

Budgie smugglers are speedo's(swimming trunks not what you got on yer bike) and thongs are flip flops(Footwear)
