View Full Version : cush drive or clutch
CAN ANY ONE HELP ME WITH A SMALL PROBLEM. MY 916 MAKES A PERCULIAR NOISE WHEN PULLING AWAY. I AM PRETTY SURE IT AIN'T THE CLUTCH AND CAN FEEL A SORT OF JUDDER THROUGH THE BACK. I WAS WONDERING IF PERHAPS IT COULD BE WORN CUSH DRIVE. IF SO WHO CAN SUPPLY CUSH DRIVE RUBBERS FOR THE RIGHT PRICE.
THANKS

That would be the clutch i would have thought Paul graunching noise and judder .
I doubt if it's the cush drives, is the chain correctly tensioned ???.
how many miles on the bike mines done just over 12000 and it takes a bit of care to get it away from the line with quickly without it graunching and juddering (probably close to needing changing or cleaning the plates up ).
as usual there are people who now more than me on here so someone will add their know how to this post soon;)

I've got the grauching noise and judder on mine too and it's only done 7000 odd miles. Goes away when warm. I think mine needs cleaning out as I use the original closed clutch cover. If that doesn't work then £150 set of clutch plates are required.
