Are they quite strict on the size of numbers and backgrounds at race meetings. Do you have to do it by the book?

Thanks

Greg

Backgrounds have to be the correct colour for your class of entry. You might get away with 1/2" smaller on the front but thats about it.

Not really, get the colours right and as long as you don't take the pizz, you should be fine. Unless Skids has it on his new check list??? ;)

Not Me, really we should have chopped most of that bit out of our rule book and just stated Black numbers on Yellow backgrounds for Class B and on White backgrounds for Class A, colours and sizes as per the ACU rule book. then it can be left to the ACU officials to police

But you do have to watch the scrutineers at times, some times they have a clamp down on thing and often its something they checked and let through just a few weeks earlier

As Tim says don't take the pizz and they can be quite tolerant

I made my first set out of black electrical tape!

Then I got all fancy and bought a sheet of black sticky-backed plastic off ebay and made my own numbers.

I'm sure there will be a spares truck at Donny selling stick-on numbers for 50p each, as there usually is!

If not, head down to B&Q and buy some wheelie-bin numbers ;)
