after picking the bike up Weds, I had a slow and steady ride home, part way thinking what a mistake I'd made!! It seemed so different to the one I rode last year. But not really enough to form any opinion

Fully suited in 1 piece leathers and flip up lid considgned to the storage rack, dark visor dusted off and back protector in and just a bum bag with the essentials, off I went to the garage for my first proper ride.

Took me over 10 minutes to even start it...couldnt stop just looking at it :D and so followed a solo ride over to Goodwood to meet the Ducati peeps (good to see you all) there, on roads I know well or fairly well...what a revelation!!

brought back all the reasons I wanted a sports bike...rapier like handling...plenty of go...gorgeous looks...great sound

and some of the ones as to why I got rid of one!

the way this thing screams 'is that the best you've got?!' as you come out of a bend having been waaaaay to slow through it! Talk about bad influence

still, tyres are nicely scrubbed to the edges, suspension feels great now I've put all to standard, fast sportsbike head coming back :D

this bike is gonna be AWSOME on the track! :biaggi:

roll on Germany! :burn:

I've got a brand new brembo billet radial 19x20 brake and a brmbo radial clutch which I was gpoing to fit...fir these std items are fine!

also, while digging out a load of old bike stuff yesterday (which I'll put on here to clear out) I found never-fitted front axle bobbins from my 996...fitted perfectly, result! :D
