I intend to use Simoniz Sperex for the final coat.

Steve have a word with Senna3, he has done a couple of his DD engines and gets the etch primer from one of the local Motor Factors

hi steve i get mine from a company called roger motor factors should get from most motor factors that do paint like brown brothers

thanks for that, I asked at a few places, but they could not confirm
the primer would be suitable for hi tempeture engines, will
follow up your suggestion;)
