you must be talking about Southampton, surely they have broken the rules and its just a bunch of accountants coniving to avoid the loss of points.

Also on a positive side without a major change or massive injection of cash Saints are doomed to mediocrity unless they go down and get back to winning ways and start to get into the long lost habit.

On the negative side if next season they drop one more division and Salisbury get promoted they will be travelling to the Ray Mac to play in front of 300 people and a jack russell

there are saints fans on Soccer AM but I missed their interview with Helen, but I guess they are fairly depressed.

Living down ere I have several friends who are crying in there beer. Being a Villa fan I remeber our last time out of the top flight and it did Villa the world of good and with a few exceptions thats generally of most clubs who drop down.

"In 1982, Aston Villa became one of only four English teams to win the European Cup, the precursor to the Champions League. After that victory came a period of decline during which the team was demoted from the top division of the sport only five years after its greatest triumph. Aston Villa is only now recovering."

Look on the bright side if you actually go and watch any away games you will have a laugh at some of the **** grounds that are still out there.

I remember going to see Villa play at Filbert street and when the ball was headed you couldnt see it !
