I like the idea of that, I know that cerrtain carb restorers over here use the industrial version to great effect.
On the same sort of back street idea, I saw a program recently on how to overhaul a tank. In particluar they had removed teh engine and is was a complete mess of rust, grease a couple of dead animals, etc.
Having hosed it off, they left it to dry. Then they sprayed it with aerosol oven cleaner (I assume the type you use cold), left it for about 20 minutes and hosed off again. You wouldn't beleive the difference - it definately works.
Have to admit I will probably try it on a set of scrap cases 1st!

What the linky page doesn't mention is the effect that any ingested baking powder can have on your digestive tract . . . . think along the lines of Industrial Strength Andrews liver salts turbocharged :lol:
Cracking idea though to use it as blast media!!
