Anyone know of a 996 or 998 going cheap that might work well as a track bike?
The better the spec, but the lower the price the better!!! :eek:

Not to race or anyfink - they're too damned unreliable (read expensive ;) ).
I'll have the R6 for racing and the Duke for viewing :)
Although Couch and I did toy with the idea of a couple of 1198Ss for Endurance!!! :eek:

You'll have to ask the new owner. I sold it to Phill a few weeks back as I just didnt have the money to do anything with it sadly.

I actually wrote an email to Tim about this possibility, then deleted it.
I'm caught in the middle on this. I really would like to re-build this 996 as a fun track bike, and even have a very solid standard engine to put back in it. Then again the other side of me says I've lost interest at the moment and could do with the cash.
Maybe I'll feel differently come February......
