Shall we / I start a thread itemising:
1) which tracks plus which configuration(s)
2) what our best times are
2) which Duke we did it on
4) plus any note(s) of any special points as to why / how?
Might be interesting.

Rock International - 1:50 ('03)
Cadwell - 1:46 ('02)
Brands Indi - 0:58 ('02)
Mallory Old Circuit - 0:56 (then big crash in '02)
Mallory mit Edwina's - 1:07 ('03)

748 bip.
Since then I have gone from a 38 rear to a 41.
Should be good for short courses.
Had my suspension "sorted" lately by UK Suspension - no track days since then.
Still a little chicken since the big off in late August so I am not so Teflon coated after all!
IOM TT - 3 days!
Can't boooming wait for the DSC track day. May sit out the first session to let the testosterone settle down!
If it's wet I will be in the café.
LS

This will be a good thread for the DSC day. I want to find someone a fraction faster than me so they can drag me around maybe a little quicker. I'm not following chillo though :)
Brands Indy - 55's
Cadwell Park - 1.44's
Rockingham National - 1.26's
edit - All done on a 996 bip

That is exactly what I was hoping for too.
Now I am going to tail you around as you're just a second or two faster than I so if I can tag along for the ride!
I wonder if anyone will catch Chillo.
What he'll be like on his R is anyones guess!
No gravel rashes please.
LS
i've got a feeling i won't be pushing as hard on my duke!:)

Had a fantastic day at Cadwell yesterday in the summer sunshine - I now have nice white lines along my face where my shades go. Was on the CB5 but my tyre was spinning up too much to be safe as it looks near slick on the right. Had a go on my mates bog standard CBR600 and managed 1.43 Would have been better if the brakes worked - nearly **** myself every time coming into Park - stop stop stop no please I really mean it this time, STOP. Fantastic fun though, amazing handling for a stock CBR, I'm seriously considering getting one for the track. I reckon with decent brakes and another couple of sessions I'd be under 1.40, which considering the best I ever did on my 748 was about 1.50 is going some. Racing this year has helped me to get faster mind. Still can't believe my time mind you - I'm sooo pleased with it - another 20s a lap and I'll be up to Hislops time!!!!! Too much respect to put into words.

Who holds the record for:
Fastest Sighting Lap - Binning her?
Best I have seen was about 4 minutes at Donington - even saw the cloud of dust and a man (Looked like Kermit in them there green leathers) picking himself out of the gravel.
Makes me glad to be sunny-side-up for a change!
LS:lol:

Well I only managed 4 and bit laps at Donington then chuck myself into the gravel and broke my collarbone
Need to go back there again for a full day out.
First time I've ever collected times. Oh what fun it is folks.......Must do it again.
Using my camcorder footage from Croft I was pulling very hesitant 1'45"s on my 2001 748R with 14/39 gearing.
From the footage I could see loads loads of places where I could pick up good time
Chicane onto back straight is defo.....
Guido, just make sure you dodge the holes on the R.H. side of the track after the chicane, gets a bit lively otherwise.

How does one measure ones time @ The Ring 'cause of the barrier?
What method do you use?
LS
This was an interesting thread from a few years ago.
Let me restart it:
Cadwell Long Circuit - 1:55's (approximately, this was measured by Geoff Spencer on his phone whilst checking out the opposition the week before we raced)
Cadwell Woodlands - 50.8
Castle Combe - 1:27.5
Brands Indy - 58.2
Snetterton - 1:26.9
I've never been timed on the 996 so all my times are on the Monster 620 DD bike.
I've shown you mine, lets see yours.
Donnington Nat 2 years ago 1:25.9
Donnington last week
1st Session 1:18.2
2nd session 1:17.5
3rd Session 1:16.9
4th Session DNF :puzzled:
