I have been chasing a 2006 for ages. For some reason they are REALLY difficult to get.

What year did the annual yearbooks begin?

What year did the annual yearbooks begin?

1998 for the Corse yearbooks. Rare ones seem to be 1998 and 2006, the rest seem to come up from time to time. Some of the later ones are available with different covers, but they seem to be all the same inside.

What year did the annual yearbooks begin?
1998.Available in both Softback(VERY Rare) and Hardback(even rarer than the VERY rare Softback!!).

The outer covers can be very different, red or black. The inner covers may have a photo pic on the outside.

Trying to collect all of one type is bloody difficult.Maybe we should have a swap shop for those collecting red and those collecting black!

I have a black 1998 and then red through to 2009.2009 and 2010 both Black-Doh!

I have managed to pick up a 2006 all the way from OZ. It was pricey but now I have a run from 1999 - 2010 with some signed books including a 2002 riders for health ducati year book with lots of sigs in. :)
Of course this years book 2011 will be the most special especially if rossi wins another title in Moto GP.
I think I have done quite well considering I only started my collection just before xmas. They really are great books.

Contagious ain't it. I casually picked up a 2010, then saw an 09, and before you know it you're scouring the internet for back numbers...

Good work! I got my 2006 from Oz as well. I have 2001/2006 (I think?) signed by Troy Bayliss (Championship years), would love to get his final championship year signed as well :D
Also have the Riders booked signed by Randy Mamola.

The 1998 one just takes perseverance and a bit of luck.

Good luck

Not the point! Also the inside covers arn't all the same. Some have photos on the hardback, some don't.

I know, Just pulling your chain... So can anyone explain the difference? The red books are from the factory? contain pictures on the inside cover? The other ones are published by Virgin?

No.Not sure about the exact demographic for distribution, but USA tended to get red,as did europe upto 2003.Then for some reason we ended up with black and red books in various parts of the world. As for the picture son the hardback, this seems to be hit and miss too! Plus you can get black hardbacks!(I have just sold a 2004).

The Corse books are not the same as the factory books.
