Good luck everyone. Mallory seems to throw up more than it's fair share of accidents (3 red flags in one race a couple of seasons ago, and at least 5 offs last year). I know racing is dangerous, but hopefully we can keep it sensible and all come out of it in one piece like we did at Brands.

Going soft ehhh...

Now may be my memory is faded/jaded but I seem to remember 5 red flags in the second race in 2007. Of about 30 bikes that started, only about 15 were sticky side down at the end of the last race.

My tactic is to hang out at the back, wait till everyone else crashes over the new super long extended track sessions, and then take 1st place!!!!!

Cya Saturday,
Andy

Not guilty! ;)

nor am I - mine wass 2008 and not in the DD race ;)

racing is racing; what happens, happens, not sure 'keeping it sensible' is a phrase which can be used in the heat of battle into edwinas or the hairpin!

not too worried about me, but tyres are a different story...glad I have a set arrivng at Mallory just in case ;) Altho no way you'll get them changed between races, or probably even practice sessions the pace I work at!! Going to be a very busy day....

Paul you need a spare pair of wheels with new tyres already fitted ;)

I managed to pick up a lightweight rear for £9.99 on ebay and already had a spare 916 front, so 'Sorted' :)

Well, you can say do-or-die, or wait for a better opportunity. Personally I would like to be there at the end of 18 laps. Outbraking someone into Edwinas is deceptive, and if you make a mistake you have often collected someone before they even knew you were there (someone narrowly missed taking my nose off last year, but I was lucky). This isn't directed at anyone in particular, I would just like us all to go home in one piece.

So will I... from Home in Northampton (40mins away!). I'll be up there Friday, but doubt I will do every session. Just have a nose around and see what sort of pace everyone has (oh, and figure out my gearing).

    PML Paul, but to be fair at Brands this year it was a case of Big Boy Bradders coming through step aside.

Dukeman358,

I like this sentiment & second it. Accept up front the fact that racing is dangerous so be as careful as possible, for you and everyone else you race with, while having as much fun as possible. If one day you have an accident then so be it, just put it down to making your own decisions as an adult and living your life to the full.

Best regards,
Andy

It is all a cunning ploy to get everyone to slow down whilst I slip away in the lead!
