Site Downtime

Apologies for the down time on the site today, we had a server crash and had to get the box restarted by the ISP, along with clearing out some junk files.

The site may be slow for a while as it recovers, so please bear with us :)

Ok, it looks like we're up and running again ... just in time for Friday 13th!!! :o

Right, now that the system time is set right, and the server doesn't think it's 2006, we should be back properly ;)

Good work Ant, it would seem its taking a little while for the site to resolve. that and there were 635,540 new posts when i logged in :)

Yeah, sounds about right - a few years worth!!!

Just looking at the database tables to try and optimise some of them a bit better - there's over 3.5 million entries in the posts table :rolleyes:

Ok, I think I've put all the dodgy posts back into the right time range as well, so now all the threads should read ok too, but let me know if you spot anything amiss.

So we're still working on the maintenance and apologies for when the site is down.

Hopefully we'll be able to bring you the new look & feel website very soon!
