My pair of offs at Anglesey brought the total number of impacts on my helmet to 7 and judging by the cracks & small holes in the outer shell its life saving days were behind it!

I was going to go down the Arai RX-7 route but started having a general look at the top offering from the different manufacturers and found that the Nolan aka X-lite X-802, worn by Stoner and Lorenzo is a bit of an unsung hero. Reviews have it down as having better visability than most and also really effective venting along with top crash protection.

I stopped into my local Infinity Motorbikes and managed to fluke arriving on an end of line sale day. Basically Infinity are no longer a main dealer so are selling off their lids cheap. I managed to buy a plain black X-802 for £150 which is less than 1/2 the price of ebay or similar.

Anyway, lid is a great fit for me and if they had another large I would buy a spare! I think they have M and XL if anyone is interested in a new lid.
The helmets are now at the Infinity Farnborough:

Good Post,

Infinity have quite a few shops & a good on-line reputation:

Sadly the only Nolan I can see listed now is the N85.

Yep... the lids are not on their website but they do have them, thats why I gave the details of that branch. They were all moved to Hanger Lane for a special promotion (which is where I stopped in by fluke) but are now back in Farnborough. Just called them earlier to check if they had a large and no luck but they do have the others in that store. They have the X-802 and the others going down the range.

Great post. I've ran X-lite helmets for many years now, I currently have an X-801RR. Helmets are really well made, snug fit and excellent visibility.

Best regards,

James
