I was lucky enough to go along to the world premiere of Fastest the Movie last night, and had an excellent time rubbing shoulders with the stars of the bike racing world!

The list included Cal Crutchlow, Bradley Smith, Scott Redding, Danny Webb, the Mackenzie clan, Chaz Davies and Eugene Laverty to name a few racers, with Toby Moody, Julian Ryder, Neil Spalding, Matt Roberts, Paul Denning, Keith Flint, Danny John-Jules as well as our own DSC celebs Jason Boswell and Alan Rawlings of Bike Channel!

The film was brilliant - a real insight into the world of MotoGP and some great history pieces in there showing Valentino's rise to fame, the rise of the "Aliens", especially Jorge Lorenzo, and the battles with injuries as well as racing that have taken place over the last few seasons.

The film is on limited release before it goes to DVD/BluRay, but you really should try and see it in the cinema to get the "big screen" effect.

Having been present at a production meeting for this movie, I must admit to not being a fan of the director, and am not convinced this will be a 'balanced' look at the world of motogp.

Please let me know different.

Oh, it completely idolises Rossi at the expense of Lorenzo and, to a smaller degree, some others such Pedrosa, Stoner, etc.

However, it's a very open look at the world behind the tv screen of MotoGP and a look at the history of the sport.

If you like MotoGP, you'll like this movie.

Anyone else see it?

I enjoyed it but a little to much emphasis on Rossi in my opinion.
