Got a 1998 600 monster and looking to race it next year, what clutch master cylinders fit this? why i ask is because i crashed back in june and the clutch bottle hit the deck and exploded as was plastic. I want to have a all in one metal one. But heard that there are different ratios, this correct?
Also what people using for brake master cylinder?
cheers hope you dd ers can help :D

I use a bog standard 916/748 one, though some people have upgraded to brembo billet type. Works ok and is cheap to replace blades on etc. For the resevoir i have a brembo 15ml unit mounted on the top yoke. its the same set up on my 853r, and never had any problems.:)

A solid coffin one get a smack means its totally written off. Thats why race bikes use ones with a remote resevoir. I had plenty of offs (yes plenty) and never damaged the resevoir.

I suppose it was my first off on the monster and suppose just unlucky i dont intend to come off much next year, might just get a spare though

mine is just loose enough the lot flips up...and bar wide enough it doesn't touch much...not that I crash as much as you :p

Don,t get one off an S4, the ratio must be different, its a heavy pull on my 583.
