I'm Sure Ghost will be there... otherwise he forfeits 1st place (I am sure that is in the rules somewhere!). I have to check the date, but I am sure Anna and I will be there.

Apparantly you do not get a trophy if you fail to attend. I fail to see how none attendance at a presentaion somehow excludes from being rewarded for all the hard work and expense people have put into racing this year trying to acheive some good results.

We cannot attend purely because of the expense. So does being less well off than other people make us less worthy of being rewarded for our efforts?
What if we were on holiday or sick?

If this is the case then on a personel level I will be reconsidering racing with Hottrax next year.

I entirely agree, posted similar but removed as it was a bit emotive and I was in pain when I wrote it ;) Going to probably cost me £300.....

Sorry Neil... I was joking.... is that really the case?.. surely they just won't present it to you, but I doubt they can revoke your right to it. But, if that is the case I may have to find where Ghost lives and go let all his tyres down!

this is the case - I've been told no attendance = no cup, so assume the same for everyone

you guys staying over somewhere? Bit far for a there and back for me, 300 or so mile round trip

I will probably stay in Northampton (family all live there). A taxi back will probably be a lot cheaper than the hotel.

Be returning home afterwards as its not that far, about 100 mile or so round trip, so nowt compared to the 490 odd miles I did today. Be Glad when those road works just South of Durham on the A1(M) are finished 13 miles in each direction stuck at 50 mph - Not Fun

How big is the 5th place trophy?

Can someone accept on my behalf? Could I do a video link as I am away at my racer training course with Casey and Vale?

 :D I agree with Neil tho', it is an expensive evening & failure to attend should not negate anyone from their awards.

Bemsee used to do the same. You didn't get your trophy from a race day if you couldn't stay for the awards either.
