View Full Version : CLASS B BIKE - 52.5bhp, 160kg, Lap records....
EDIT!! I have decided to remove some of the bling parts that I added during last year in order to reduce the asking price.
This by no means makes it a less capable, this is infact the exact spec that I won Brands first race last year. I am just selling some bling separately because I now have time to do so and I have had several messages about people wanting parts.
The pictures below are from Brands in the following spec how it will now be sold:
Spec
52.5 - 52.9BHP Tested at DWR and later after one of the rounds. This basically means you wont have the excuse the other have who will be moaning on here next year about their lack of power losing them the race!
Light Wheels from 620SS
Maxton Tuned 600SS fork
916 Caliper
Alloy Tank Extremely light (and impossible to get hold of...ask Jolley)
SES Rear Sets & Clipons
Custom Underseat Exhaust by MHP / DWR
2011 was my Rookie season and it carried me to 2 wins, 2 2nds, 3 3rds, a pole position, a few fastest laps of the weekend and an overall lap records at Pembrey so it is very capable if you are?!
At the moment it has some Desmocedici style fairings I got off ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380237599259?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_6088wt_1159.
Please note these are now scuffed and damaged and also the frame could do with painting (never got round to this from when I bought it).
Everything is working perfect it is just simply a race bike! As the bike is ready to race (well) and has all the go faster goodies then the lucky buyer can spend the winter with a pot of paint etc!

Give us a clue on the price Hugh!
Give us a clue on the price Hugh!
EDIT: NOW ASKING £2000 ono
At the moment in my newly acquired garage I have this 'ready to race' and a 620ss which still has mirrors and a licence plate and just looking at it makes me tired and fearful of the conversion cost! I am getting tempted to just jump back on this and do some damage in class B next year if someone doesn't come and take it off me!
All that said I took the 620ss out the other day for a spin.. what an awesome bike!!! Love it love it love it! I did pretty well last year on the same sproket for 80% of the races so I might try my luck keeping it as a road stock bike in class A with some better pads!

I wouldn't ride to the circuit ;)
Reckon there will be another few new fast guys, I can think of 2, and a few will get much quicker from last year so why not have another crack :)

Nah... I enjoy beating you too much :D
Seriously though, it wouldnt make sense, 90% of people I was close racing with moved up so I would only be staying in B on the assumption that it is easier pickings and I think that is the opposite of the point of 'racing'.

I like those forks!!!
I like those forks!!!
Why thank you sir! Royal pain in the ar$e they were! Numpty here didn't measure up correctly and while they fit the regs in terms of being non adjustable and able to fit stock yoke they were too short!
Got there in end but wouldn't recommend the conversion due to cost and hassle!

Yes but it is now a slightly lower spec as per the edited advert on page 1.
While I have removed some of the bling to lower the price I would like to point out that in this spec it still to me to a win at the first race of the year in 2011 (before I added forks and flashy levers).
This is the fork / wheels/ calipers / levers that are to be sold with the bike now. At a price of £2000 ono.
thanks!

is this bike still for sale
Bike no longer for sale as has been stolen!
That will teach me for not pulling my finger out and selling it.
My garage was broken into and the bike was stolen along with the logbook (I know stupid to keep them together but as was thinking of selling just put them all in the same place). No idea of the reg number now to report it? Would it be on any desmodue entries?
The thieves also took my carbon triathlon bicycle :(, my wife's bike, my alpinestars GP leathers, boots and gloves ... they took my helmet out of the bag but passed on it? Possibly wrong size or I have a stinky head?
They then proceeded to rifle through all the other junk (by junk I am referring to WSB Ducati Corsa unobtanium that makes up 90% of the parts to build a 1994 Factory 955 Corsa. Lots of magnesium, titanium, Brembo monoblocs, Ducati MS carbon body work, 955 corsa engine and frame, few sets of online FG wsb forks etc etc). And decided that this just wasn't worth bothering with compared to my rigorously raced desmodue bike! Lol what a fool. just one pair of callipers or even a set of forks was worth the same or more than the DD bike!
Garage has now been cleared and said parts are in my house which is looked after by my bulldogs (who I admit are not that clever at guarding) and also my our recently adopted boxer (a former Hungarian police dog who is more than a bit handy at guarding). I actually invite the thieves to come meet Bosco whenever they wish.... anytime

Theiving Scum, but as you say Hugh they are obviously idiots leaving the 995 parts, mine are already stored in the house.
As for the reg I doubt that is recorded in any DD records and unlikely the VIN number is noted as we used New Era signing on cards last year that didn't require it, unlike this year where the VIN number needed to be entered on the card.
Thanks chaps and well done on completing another year in DD. I was actually thinking about doing a few rounds next year but that's out the window now!
I have several pairs of good scrubs, sprockets, wheels, maxton SS fork, 916 caliper and other sundries and will go take an inventory and put them up as a job lot on eBay starting at 99p to go to a better home. Should get them up Tuesday night on a 5 day auction. Will post a link here when done.
All the best all

Catch up Paul I put about Harriet.
Sorry about the bad news. You can get from the VIN number to the registration. Guessing you dont have that recorded anywhere.

I would call the Police anyway - they have access to DVLA records and should be able to search for the vehicles that you own and get the info from there.
