Air filter Options

In the new year I am going to be getting the 996 power commander checked out and the bike dyno'd.
It currently has oe air filters and wanted to know what recommendations people have or tried?

DP chip to match SPS system with carbon Termi's (not the longer cans which interfere with the seat unit).

The Piper-X ones work well, £19 off Ebay when I last looked
They replace the original foam in the original holders, trouble is not all Carbon Intake tubes can hold them, but as you currently have OE filters your not going to have that problem

Seen those and the all in one foam type but was unsure of the difference, if any.
Gonna order them right now. :)

Neil any filter sitting over the intakes should result in a reduction (no matter how small) in performance as the Airbox is designed as a resonant chamber, which is why sticking them in the air-tubes is a good idea
Te Piper-X ones have a two stage filter and come well oiled. I run them in the Carbon air ducts on my 998R

Pricy as Chaz said, but handy if you are using carbon fibre air tubes.

Have you ditched the wire mesh on the air intakes? They are a big restriction on how much air those twin cylinders can gulp in.

It will make the bike run a little lean but you can fix that with the powercommander.

carbon tubes , mesh over intakes and no filters on my track 853r. Obvioulsly running risk of gulping in lumps of whatever. I would run the pipercross filters with standard airtubes.
