Last person I knew with a MF3 was James Thompson in Northampton, had one on his 748RS

Oops, sorry only just saw your post Antonye.
Yes I have one but it's going in my 998RS. Do you need one?
Kev, are you sure it was a 748RS with an MF3? I thought they only used the old 16M ECU?

Yep a 748RS brought into the country by JT in Northampton, Ex WSS bike I think, his previous 748RS which is the basis for my 998Hybrid was Ex Italian Championship
One of the first things he did when he got the bike over here was to take the MF3 down to MM Competion Systems so they could download the program so he could have a back-up and they could have a look at it
Maybe worth giving them a shout as Doug or Mike may know the whereabouts of one

Holy cr*p! Is that yours??
What a stunning bike! What's the story with it? I know someone who's trying build exactly the same bike and they need one too.
I'm doubtful that Competition Systems will have one but I did hear of one for sale in the UK. I can follow it up for you.
I may have a spare one in a few months if you can be patient.
Not exactly cheap tho'

Well you learn something new every day.
MF3 is kind of overkill on a 748RS isn't it?
I know you're the tech expert Kev so correct me if i'm wrong but I thought the MF3 was only necessary on the 996 race bikes because they were running complex triple injectors which kicked in at different throttle openings and they had full telemetry with datalogging. Far too much for the old ECUs to handle.

Not a problem - the bike has two confirmed dead ones at the moment!
