I want to get some pod filters top drop over the ones being fitted to my TBs but dont know what size diameter is needed. Thinking about something like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RAMAIR-Motorcycle-Race-Pod-Filter-42mm-Dellorto-PHBH-/390382817891?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5ae4a11263#ht_1670wt_853

its only for racing so looks unimportant - just protect the engine ;)

Are you not fitting ram stacks Paul?

That's what I ment, you will need to be carful not to spoil the effect of the stacks with the filters, it's really something you should setup on the dyno as it will have a huge effect on the fuelling.

Im using 748 velocity stacks Paul, with just a coarse mesh protecter to prevent ingress of sparrows, lumps of brick , kitty litter etc.

lots (incl engine builder) have warned me against mesh or no filters as too much fine debris will mean engine rebuild come mid season. I was going to use bodywork mesh originally

It's only top end though, its all a trade off, if you fit restrictive filters you may as well keep the air box IMHO.

Thats all I will be using, same as on 853r. No filters but knowing wear will be increased and potential for sucking in debris in an off.
