Cambs police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of my bike.(Amongst other things)The SOCO that came to my house got some good fingerprints and a positive id.
The bike has probably disapeared to the continent. The Police say that the theif has got contacts for disposing of big bikes.
He is appearing in court next week for the first hearing. The Police are hopefull that he'll get sent to jail.
The other news is that the insurance has coughed up exactly what I wanted without too much of a fight. Thanks to Tony and Phil at Italia Moto for writing a letter to NU stating what they thought my bike was worth.Sooooooo,I'll be getting a new bike real soon, watch this space.:)

Make sure you go to court and smile at him as he gets sent down!

Wouldn't it be ironic if a couple of hundred of us from the Club turned out to support Keefy?

Now where's my diary......

I should bl@@dy well hope so! Watch out for the "Oh he had such a deprived childhood we can't really blame him for turning out like this it's society's fault and we should ALL take the blame" do-gooders who's job it is to ensure the only "justice" around is given to the criminals! I'm with DJ on this one!

Sorry to hear of your loss but can echo your praise of the fine chaps (and chapess) at Italia Moto.

How did you find NU when you had to claim? I am looking around for insurance. I've been riding for yonks but thankfully have never needed to claim. I know NU can be expensive but when the chips were down, how did they perform?

No complaints from me about NU.
Their first offer came through the post four weeks after I sent in my claim. It was in the ball park of what I wanted.I sent them some more details, and the offer was upped by another 1,250.
When making a claim,it does help if you have loads of paperwork about the bike, origional bill of sale, service bills, reciepts etc.I also cut out ads from mcn of similar bikes for sale to back up my claim.
