I have a 748s still under warranty and I want the termis just for that Ducati sound. The bike is fast enough as it is.

I have been looking on e-bay for some second hand cans and are usually around £200-300 for 45mm carbon cans.

Can I just put these on? and not effect the warranty?
Or does the dealer need to tweak the ecu under the seat?

I know a chip and set up on the rolling road would get best performance, but just after the sound really, with out effecting a warranty claim, if needed.

Will the 45mm go straight on? Almost definately Yes.

Will it affect the warranty? In real terms, almost definately No. But .....

Will you need a new chip? Almost definately Yes. And the ticker says warranty void if removed. But a Ducati Service Centre will just replace it.

If all done by Ducati Service Centre then you'll not have a problem with Ducati UK warranty. If you do it yourself, well they might say you contributed to it's failure.

If you want to do it yourself you can order the sticker as a part number.

I've recently popped a set of termis on my 748S and have been riding it without changing the chip.....IMHO it is running much smoother and better! Been like that for a few weks now and it feels absolutely perfick.

Ride it/try it before deciding to change the chip.

some aftermarket systems don't need a chip if you are doing a straight 45mm for 45mm swop it's when you go up to 50mm pipes thats when you really need to think about chipping and setting up properly but a chip will make you make the most of the more free flowing pipes can i suggest a JHP or FIM chip i went for JHP and it is spot on for fuelling etc and the bike need no "trimming" or anything

i bought the chip when i put termis on and it ran like a big of **** so went back to standard chip and you can buy the silver stickers on the ecu off ebay for a couple of quid.
