I was lead to believe that the dual and single seats had the same mounting points, am I correct? It was just that I am bidding for a corbin dual seat and the seller told me that as it came from a '93 SS it would not fit mine. If I source pre '94 parts for a dual seat conversion should I be ok then?

I have a dual seat and a SL seat unit for my 98 750ss (last of the carb jobbies) The sl seat is from an early type Mk1 I think, the mountings are not the same for the single seat and the dual seat. But they do fit, the only thing is there are more bits and peices for the twin seat, like grab handle.(make sure you get the allen head fixing screws with it) and the seat lock and mounting bracket plus of course the side panels and you will need the rubber grommetts that fit over the mounting spikes other wise not a problem,Oh yes the lock mounting is a seperate moulding with v.small screws get them too unless you have a tatt box with loads of odds and ends in. I change mine to suit the mood (actually the mood of her indoors)Its all do-able you just may have to ferret around to get all the bits unless you find some one with the complete assembly to sell best of luck Phil:sing:
