This weekend i'm off on my freshly serviced 916 (thanks Nelly) to South Wales & will be staying near to Carmarthen.

Just wondering if anyone has any 'must do' roads / routes in or around the Brecon Beacons.

I will be riding from West london & will probably avoid the bridge approaching Wales from Gloucester.

On the 2nd day I'm planning to head north towards Snowdonia.

Thanks

Martin.

TP, I should have remembered to put the socket set away before I started on the 12 cans of Grolsch you left im my car.

I only intended to give it a clean but went a bit too far.

Hopefully I'll find all the bits tonite and put it back together.

If you're near Snowdonia, I can vouch for the Bala to Trawsfynnedd road. Once out of Bala, it twists around a reservoir (which incidentally flooded a village - very sensitive) and then becomes a succession of fast sweeping bends on a brilliantly smooth surface. The road is around 20 miles long.

The A470 is the main arterial road running north-south through the middle of Wales and the area around Snowdonia is fantastic. Watch out for the rozzers though. Happy hunting!:D
