Maybe the secret police ninjas enforced a cover-up, on pain of a severe handbagging... :ninja:

Well I have asked a copper mate if he can fish his details out, should be a laugh if he can

Anyways, what can i expect for the following:

1. Undone helmet strap (FFS :rolleye: )
2. Dark visor (cos sun reflecting off a wet road is LESS dangerous of course :rolleye: )
3. Race pipes (fair dos)
4. Small Reg plate
5. Calling him a ****
6. Calling him a jumped up hitler

The last 2 werent offences as such, but you never know.

The **** took my reg plate, and gave me a producer, but no VRN - what can happen next? :puzzled:

the original thread is in a section called "removed threads". Keep it clean or don't post it.

The one that took my plate was saying

:pig: "imagine you ran a pedestrian over while overtaking at a crossing like you lot ( :o ) always do, and you do a runner, people won't be able to read your plate etc"

:biaggi: "Yeah but if I REALLY didn't want them to read the plate I would just wheelie away"

That went down about as well as a virgin with braces :(#

They were also not impressed with the fact that the reg plate was held on by velcro!

They just seem to take small plates offensively mate, I don't run one because I think it's just a reason to pull me over.

I'm not being holier than thou, jus ttrying to limit on one thing I know they'll just nab you on. I've only been pulled over once in this country (my first ride with the Surrey crew and ended up on TV!!!) and I had no kite mark on my 54mm Sil Motor's and they weren't happy with my rear SuperCorsa (although there was nothing wrong with it!!) but nothing was said and thats it! But .... with 8-10 of us there, only 2 had legal exhausts and nothing was said but there were two producers for small plates. Nothing about tinted visors etc ... just the plates.

I'm leaving mine on ...

It's all good... gonna fit the legal sized one tomorrow, did I mention that the mount rotates so you can turn the numberplate to face the side? :saint:

DJ, dont know how serious you are re the swivelling plate, but....... I have seen this fitted to a bike, where the owner had spent hours of engineering skill to mount it with an electrical motor and switch so it flipped up at the push of a button!
He was convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice! :o massive fine if i remember in the region of £600+

In a way, these little tricks like trying to outrun a traffic cop, flip-mounted Reg plates and (in some cases) using false plates, they are all like speeding itself - all very well, as long as you don't get caught doing it. The consequences of being caught speeding can pale into near insignificance compared to what happens if you get caught trying something tricky.

Better by far to work on your techniques for not being spotted speeding, rather than evading the consequences of such.

All within the context of safe riding, of course.

How the hell did I end up standing on this here soap box? :puzzled:

Its not motorised mate - its one of those evo ones from Nelly, I just didn't tighten it up all the way so that the pillion can move it when we wanna go for a "spirited" ride :D

Mind you, with the legal plate on now, it acts as so much of an airbrake that it will probably swivel round just from the wind :sing:
