but there's no point!!

Stopped off for a cup of tea at a friend's house on Sun afternoon. As his drive has soft tarmac, parked on the road and said hi. he got out the plank of wood he uses for us to put sidestand on so we dont sink and said to put bike on drive.

Freak went off to do his and I handed over my key and said to do mine as well. His mate took key and set off for my bike. I laughed and said to be careful as the clutch was quite heavy. saw him start it up and put in gear, then wandered inside, joking with his missus about being nervous letting him move my bike, but that it was ok, he was a good rider etc.

Stood in kitchen when they came back in looking sheepish and saying he had dropped it. I laughed thinking they were joking, but they weren't :( :( :(

he had misjudged turn and dropped it

so, cracked nosecone, slight scuff on side panel and scraped wing mirror!!!

only put proper bodywork on an hour before :(

totally gutted, but no point in crying as its done, just have to smile and get on with it i guess :(

Gutted for you as well Lily, especially after all the good work you have done - still, maybe it will be easier second time around?

or

Time to park it up for winter and start on some early upgrades??

I guess you deserve a treat of some sort after such an ordeal - thats what I tend to do when things go pear-shaped, even if its just book or CD or something I'd been thinking of getting.......

Take care - Frank

FWIW I try to keep the positive thought that things could be far far worse.
