Nat I have a blow torch (the one for welding copper pipes) and some OK allen keys (they got my tight nuts off, ohh err).

I'm just up the road and could possible get down tomorrow lunch time, I need to see duke2bsteve anyhow.

Steve glad to see you got rid of that mythical horse;)

I have a few Allen keys around where I have chopped off the shorter bit to just leave the longer bit, The 8mm and 10mm ones go straight into the appropriate sockets and then fit onto the airgun. Originally made them up for removing the damper rod bolts when taking forks apart. But work well on stuborn chassis bolts.

Natty
is it the same configuration as the T8 if it is you will need to lock off the nut on the other side with a socket and T-bar wedged against the swinging arm then get a air/hammer gun and industrial quality sockets I think machine mart do a quality set.
when you replace the bolt I can send you a S/S one if you give me the dim.

I had trouble getting the bottom bolt out on my 748 a couple of years ago.

The problem is that the bolt head on LHS corrodes into swinging arm bore.

I had to carefully drill the head off (without damaging s/arm) and also the flat edged bush on RHS.
Once both ends of bolt were drilled off I then had to drift the remains of the bolt out.

If you have snapped an 8mm socket drive allen key then I rekon your bolt is corroded into the bore.

It's that dissimilar metal situation again - it's a b*gger!
