Drive along an open road with no one else on it and no danger to anyone else
and some nobhead moneymaking ****bag does the dirty all in the name of "Safety" Bit like Police cars travelling along the Motorways at 70 ther'e the only vehicle doing that speed, every other normal person is getting on with their journey then having to slow down in a panic as every one brakes causing mayhem behind for the next two miles "Safety" my arse.
When you ride or drive "progressively" you are more alert, more safe,no wonder you see signs on the motorway "Take a break tiredness kills" at some of our speed limits no wonder people fall asleep, bloody boredom. Rant over, Ill go and lie down now, have a Power nap, take a pill  4D (Cant wait to see the reply's )

There's a mini love-in going on elsewhere on another post so not much venom floating around, give it a while and the boys will be back.
I have to say I aggree with your comments, but I never go over the speed limit myself I think it's outrageous thing to do.
I amazed the MT has not clamped down on speeding they do elsewhere.

Should I get my coat now and hand in my resignation on the way out?

My bike has got a vicious snatchy throttle it is so hard to keep it under control, it just wants to go and run free.

So thats it then, all those that exceed the speed limit and are prats take one step forward..............................Its allright Occifer, dont do me, im driving progressively! What a load of...........

Its post like this that make me laugh, we all know what the rules are.......whether we agree with them or not, they are the rules.........and more to the point, this rule about speed has been done to the death, so everyone knows about it..........sheet, they even put up big signs!

If your all driving /riding so progressively, being more alert, more safe, how come you dont see the cocking speed limit signs! They dont just spring up, they are concreted into the ground!

The truth is you got caught speeding.! The arguement isnt, it wasnt me!...its how do i get off of this?

And, if its more than once.......which bit is not easily understandable?

As far as the sequence of brake lights coming on on motorways goes, is just about like everything else that is wrong with driving today, its down to lack of observation, and planning!

Now to balance this somewhat, i do agree the limits are somewhat draconian and out of date with the modern world. I would even agree that the placement of cameras and mobile cameras can be to say the least poetic with the stats.

I know catching speeding motorists is like shelling Peas, if your into that, which i personally am not. In fact, most of my replies to subjects like this are either devils advocate or tongue in cheek.

But, if you disagree with the system stand up and say it to the right people...........not just when youve been caught, because theres only one person to blame when youve been caught its YOU!

PS, this is just a response to the topic rather than anything directed at anyone.

Andy, maybe if we all became Police Officers we could all brake the law legally, have big accidents ,run people down (as was on the TV news) get our kicks speeding and honing progressivly around the countryside on her Majesty's pleasure.Ive seen plenty of pursuit vehicles "training" on some of the local roads, its only a human being behind the wheel, some get it right some don't,to the child thats crossing the road in front of them ,it makes no differance, a fast vehicle is a fast vehicle .So I think your anwser's are a little bias and expected from a PC Us mortals have to do it the hard way, Im not saying we HAVE to break the law to enjoy our riding, far from it but some times it not that easy to leave the bike in 1st gear to keep to 30 with so much power to hold back and with so much forward planning and observations that we as motor cyclists have to do to survive, looking down at speedo's shouldnt be our main observation, especially with so many "prats" on the road. Regards from not such a progressive rider from now on. 4D

They say that riding a Police pan with all the switches, bells and whistles to play with on a blue light run, is akin to flying a helicopter.............

Oh well im allways in the clouds anyway!
